The My Life is Poetry writing project is a creative Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) senior wellness and outreach project created by Steven Reigns for a chronically under-served population. The workshop and public reading help connect LGBT seniors with the power and pleasure of writing autobiographical poetry. The workshop ignites discussions, help normalize the LGBT aging process and bridge a gap between communities and generations. For over a decade, Evans Vestal Ward has been creating portraits of the participants in this project.
